Sharon Reed Walker is an accomplished business executive and strategic problem solver with deep experience in finance, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Her tenure at firms such as DuPont, Scott Paper, Soft Sheen, and Bristol-Myers Squibb shaped her broad global perspective and strong business acumen, which she uses to provide leadership well beyond the traditional boundaries of a finance role. She brings a balanced approach that pairs strategic vision with disciplined, detail-oriented execution.
Walker’s entrepreneurial mindset fuels her ability to generate sharp insights and drive strong financial performance across diverse sectors. She has held critical leadership roles guiding global finance teams, where she led efforts to strengthen profitability, streamline processes, simplify operations, and ensure compliance. In each of these positions, she provided the financial expertise necessary to move organizations forward in complex and rapidly evolving environments.
Her experience extends into public policy, where she contributed to several national and international initiatives, including the U.S. Healthcare Initiative led by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Feasibility of Economic Redevelopment in Iraq under Madeleine Albright, and efforts addressing child and maternal health disparities at the World Health Organization.
Walker has also served in several influential leadership roles outside the corporate arena. She served on the Board for Deaconess Health System in Evansville, Indiana, where she was Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. She currently serves as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for First Federal Savings Bank in Evansville, Indiana, and is a Partner and Member of the Board of Directors for Donaldson Capital Management. Her additional roles include serving as a Board Member for Opportunities Industrialization Centers International (OICI) as Treasurer and Executive Committee Member, and adjunct professor at the University of Southern Indiana’s Romain College of Business.
Walker earned her Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she also completed her undergraduate degree.
