We fill a critical gap in maternal health by offering free, culturally grounded education and support for Black birthing people. But, we do not provide medical care.

We do something just as vital. We equip families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to navigate the system and reclaim their birth experiences.

We work at the intersection of education, advocacy, and healing.

Every workshop, every gathering, every conversation is built around one core truth: Black families deserve more than survival. They deserve joy, safety, and support.

Pregnancy and parenting don’t come with instructions—but you’re not in this alone.

We’re here to help you find answers, feel supported, and trust your journey.

How we work

Our free, culturally grounded live micro lessons and interactive question and answer sessions turn guidance into clear next steps, available online and on YouTube—always open access, no enrollment, and no paywall.

We address trust and relevance by using messengers and imagery that reflect our audience and by partnering with community anchors. We address timing and follow through by sequencing content to milestones and using gentle nudges before and after delivery through email and social messages.

We address fragmentation by packaging what to watch for, what to do now, and where to go in a single pathway that loops back to monthly clinician or expert moderated sessions and a robust YouTube library.

Our Work Is Rooted In:

1. Perinatal Education

We offer free, community-based classes on everything from preparing for labor to managing postpartum emotions. Our sessions are led by trusted experts and are grounded in both science and culture.

2. Advocacy and Systems Change

We help Black families understand their rights in the healthcare system and teach them how to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. We also work with healthcare professionals to challenge bias and build bridges between medical care and community care.

3. Culturally Affirming Support

We build spaces that reflect the beauty, complexity, and power of Black families. Whether through a workshop, a support circle, or a virtual check-in, our work is about seeing people fully—and supporting them with care that honors who they are.
