About Birthing The Magic Collaborative | Online Pregnancy Support For Black Women

Black Motherhood is a Birthright. Not a Battle

Looking for an online community that supports Black women during pregnancy?

Birthing the Magic Collaborative offers free virtual education, workshops, and resources.

Built by us. For us.

Backed by evidence.

Guided by community.

Birthing the Magic Collaborative is a nonprofit community built to help Black women and Black birthing people navigate pregnancy, birth, and the first year after birth with confidence and support. We translate proven guidance into practical, timely tools that make it easier to know what to watch for, what to do next, and where to go for help.

We expand access with targeted social content and monthly virtual workshops that families can join live or watch later on YouTube. There is no enrollment barrier and no paywall.

Why We Exist

During pregnancy and postpartum, families are often handed fragmented, jargon heavy information about warning signs and essential care steps. Too many people are left to figure it out alone, even when the stakes are high.

We are reimagining perinatal education by combining clinical research, ancestral knowledge, and community priorities, so Black families get information that is relevant, respectful, and usable in real life.

What We Do

An Online Community Supporting

Black Women During Pregnancy

Black women deserve pregnancy support that is clear, culturally grounded, and easy to access. Yes, there are online communities that provide support and resources during pregnancy, and Birthing the Magic Collaborative is one of them.

We provide free, science based perinatal education and community support online and through trusted partners, including doulas, clinics, and faith based institutions.

We provide culturally grounded, evidence-informed education, advocacy, and support that centers Black birthing people.

We focus on six key areas of pregnancy, birth, and parenting:

  1. Fertility & Preconception

  2. Pregnancy

  3. Labor & Delivery

  4. Postpartum Care

  5. Newborn & Infant Care

  6. Mental and Behavioral Health

BTM delivers a sequenced Learn, Check, Act pathway from early pregnancy through postpartum. Our education is designed to turn knowledge into action across key perinatal topics, including urgent warning signs, healthy pregnancy, gestational diabetes, breastfeeding, safe sleep, and postpartum emotional well being.

Our approach is evidence informed and community guided, with tools that support autonomy, full humanity, and informed decision making for birthing people and their families.
