David W. Johnson, Jr.

An advocate of the underserved through volunteerism and board service, Johnson served as a TeamMates mentor for over a decade, served on the board of Centris Federal Credit Union, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Birthing the Magic (providing education on maternal health). Most recently, he worked with We Make Change, a social enterprise non-profit and partner of CSG, to further opportunities for underrepresented communities in technology and health information. 


David is the Chief Compliance Officer for CSG, overseeing the company’s Compliance Program, as well as litigation and human resources matters.  In 2022, he also served as the Interim Chief Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer, making him a better CCO, attorney, and person. As Chief Compliance Officer, he is responsible for CSG compliance with various laws, company policy, privacy, payments compliance, investigations, and third-party due diligence through training, the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, and proactive support of the company. CSG is a SaaS-based global billing and customer experience provider.


A tenured member of the CSG leadership team, Johnson also serves as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for the company. Since joining in 2003, he has been integral to the CSG global legal team with experience in negotiations, technology transactions, investigations, human resources, and government relations. Prior to CSG, Johnson served in the public sector as a Deputy County Attorney for both Douglas County and Lancaster County in Nebraska, where he was a criminal prosecutor and deputy in the civil division, respectively. Earlier in his career, Johnson’s public service work included roles with the United States Department of Justice and the United States Department of Labor. 

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lenoir-Rhyne College and Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law.
