Allison Cole, MPH
Allison Cole, a proud native New Yorker, serves as the Board Secretary of Birthing the Magic (BTM). With a career that bridges hospital administration, research, program design and implementation, and international development, Allison brings a dynamic blend of expertise and vision to her role. She has held roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYU Langone Health, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and FHI 360. Her time at USAID has fueled her passion for global exchange and continues to fuel her commitment to tackling health disparities, both locally and worldwide. Allison is excited to bring a unique perspective that bridges community-based health advocacy and global health disparities to BTM.
Additionally Allison is a DONA-trained doula, allowing her to pair her professional knowledge with hands-on, community-centered support for women and families.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers University and her Master of Public Health in Global Health from New York University. During her time at NYU, Allison co-founded the Black Women’s Health Collective to advocate for the health and well-being of women of color.
A natural connector and problem-solver, Allison thrives on creating meaningful programs that empower communities and improve health outcomes. Beyond her professional life, she is an avid traveler whose curiosity about the world informs her global perspective and inspires her ongoing work to tackle health disparities. Whether exploring a new culture or working to strengthen maternal and child health systems, Allison is driven by a belief in equity, compassion, and the power of collective action.
