Marie Boone-Clark

Founder & Managing Director

Marie has dedicated her career to supporting parents and healthcare providers in infant feeding. With over 30 years of experience at Mead Johnson Nutrition, the creators of Enfamil, she has held various leadership and business development roles spanning from consumer engagement to medical sales.

At Mead Johnson Nutrition, Marie collaborated closely with healthcare professionals and C-suite leaders in some of the nation's largest hospital systems. She also served as the company's key liaison to significant medical professional associations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), National Medical Association (NMA), and National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN).

Through this involvement, Marie became acutely aware of the distressing rates of maternal mortality and morbidity among Black birthing individuals. This awareness ignited her passion for maternal health and reproductive justice.

However, it was a profoundly personal experience that genuinely crystallized her mission. Collaborating with her daughter to assemble a culturally sensitive healthcare team for a high-risk twin pregnancy highlighted the transformative impact of the right resources on a safe birth journey.

This realization underscored the stark reality that not all Black birthing individuals could access these critical resources or create a support network. Thus, Birthing the Magic Collaborative was born. Marie's vision is to provide melanated mamas and mamas-to-be with virtual access to pediatric and maternal health experts. This innovative platform aims to establish essential connections and offer education that empowers birthing individuals to make informed choices and effectively advocate for themselves and their babies.

Marie is also the co-founder of Antonia and Grace Motherhood Concierge, which offers a holistic approach to maternal support services, demonstrating her commitment to supporting mothers and families on their unique journeys to parenthood.
